Jana Shamseddine is an architect, urban designer, and researcher based in Dubai, UAE and Beirut, Lebanon. She graduated from The Bartlett School of Architecture of University College London (UCL) in 2015, with a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design - March Urban Design. During her Masters Studies, Shamseddine's thesis focused on the Arab region in general and the Arab Mediterranean countries in specific. The research conducted addresses complex large-scale design problem in which conflicts across different scales must be negotiated. Contexts are deeply and profoundly investigated leading into radical interventions.
Shamseddine pursued her under-graduate studies at the Lebanese American University - LAU, from where she graduated, in 2013, with honors from the School of Architecture and Design. Upon her graduation, she joined Raëd Abillama Architects in Beirut, where she worked for one year.
She currently resides and works in the UAE with the progressive, award-winning architecture and design firm T.ZED Architects.
